mokuyoubiFirst off, anyone going to the Chicago or Cleveland dates for MCR this coming week? Muse and I would love to meet up with fellow Killjoys before/during/after. We're probably going to be waiting in line at one of the venues, at least.
Secondly, Killjoy costumes are complete! Yes, there are two of them. I'm going to two different shows, and I couldn't decide which I liked better, whatever. Really it's the same tights, shorts, gun and undershirt, just with different overshirts, bandanas and accessories. But whatever. Hair is now even more multi-coloured than ever -- blue, pink, orange, white-blonde, and black. I might add some green or yellow to it before the shows, IDK. Soon I'm going to take lots of pictures, because, omg, I am in love with these costumes! I made my gun from a duck hunt gun (I felt so bad cutting off the cord, like I was destroying part of the 80s) and it was a bitch to paint (I had to sandpaper first, and then a million coats to get an even colour, ugh) but it looks so badass now. Muse bought me a forreal leather shoulder holster, which I have decorated in a bazillion pins, and put creepy baby pez dispenser and wii remote candy dispenser in the ammo pouch. My shorts were originally a horribly awesome skirt found at goodwill for 3 bucks, made of orange tapestry material, lol. Now they are hotpants.
The best part of all of this? I actually feel hot. Guys, I can't tell you how long it's been since I've looked in the mirror and not thought "ugh, I'm so fat and disgusting." It's been thirty pounds in three months, and I have so much more to lose, but it just feels so amazing to look in the mirror and not only not hate my body, but think "Fuck yeah, I'd do me!"
Finally, I have decided to save elf!Frank fic for BBB. I feel sort of bad being all like "it's finished!" and then being like "lol, now I won't post it for *months*" but I don't think either of the other fics I was going to use for first wave are going to be finished in time.
However, I do have a decent start on these other two fics (both Brencer, one with a bazillion side pairings including Ryan/Jon, Gabe/William, and Greta/Vicky-T, and the other with at least Pete/Patrick as a pretty important side pairing, w00t), and I'm having a lot of fun with them. Over 10k altogether, but knowing me, they'll each end up being near 50, lol.

Also, kudos to you! 30 pounds is amazing! I just did my own Killjoys dress-up at the SLC show on Friday, and I wish I had been about 30 pounds less for it. I'd love to see pics of your outfit. :)
