There is this movie and you all need to see it. Right now. It had only a very limited release in the US, but it is on DVD now, I believe in most countries, so finding it shouldn't be a problem.
It is called Repo! The Genetic Opera. Now, if the cast isn't enough to win you over -- Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy), Alexa Vega (little girl from Spy Kids all grown up), Paul Sorvino, Sarah Brightman (who, if you know anything about musical theatre/opera in the past thirty years, you will know is epic), Paris Hilton (don't cringe. I mean really. After seeing this, I would so fuck her. Hard. And I'm not into chicks.)-- the plot should be. But I'll let the trailer do the talking for me:
And a couple small scenes...
and Chase the Morning:CHASE THE MORNING
Okay, so, I'm not going to go on and on. But seriously, this movie exceeded all my expectations. I thought, "Oooh, ASH is sexy and I love Sarah Brightman and this could be a neat concept; I'll close my eyes when Paris comes on..." And then... I was prepared to dislike Shiloh. Oh, poor sick little girl rebelling against her dad who's only trying to keep her safe. Boo Hoo. But I actually loved her a lot, found her compelling and after a few viewings, I'm still picking apart all the subtle little hints and clues to her character, and to all the others. It is fascinating. And GraveRobber? So freaking sexy. I can't decide whether I want to be him or Paris in their scenes together. Or just watch them. Yum. Huh. Of course, the real winners are Paul and Ash, and my god, what dynamic characters they are.
In closing, watch it.
