This one was a little harder than the other so far--there are a lot of things that make me sad or angry, but I finally picked one that makes me both sad and angry.

I don't want to get into it too much, because whenever I talk about gender or sexism, I seem to piss people off. But the way he shove gender roles and gender stereotypes on our children really breaks my heart, and makes me want to punch people, at the same time. Working in retail and seeing all the gendered toys--some of which are geared towards *newborns*--makes me sick. And it isn't just that you're presented with these hyper-masculine or hyper-feminine options, but that there is no neutral option in many cases, so if you want to buy your child a toy, you're forced to pick.
