Step 2: Post the first line (or two) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

sneaky_sena, I’m going to stick with her idea of only posting one song per artist, though a few songs from the same album (movie/tv soundtracks and fsts) ended up on here...
I’m am entirely unashamed by all of these. I pretty much will defend 99% of the music I listen to, to the death. The exception being things that come on soundtracks. Even then, I’ll only keep them if they’re catchy or fun, even if I don’t absolutely love them. There’s too much music out there to waste time listening to mediocre stuff…
There are two or three of these that I think *no one* will get without cheating. Also, some of these have been covered over and over, so I'll take whichever artist, but bonus points if you know which artist I was actually listening to! For the songs I thought my flist was most likely to recognise, I put in fewer lyrics.

Already one of the two songs I thought no one would get has been guessed, and I'm sort of surprised that a couple of the others haven't been. And I realise that I included the song title in two of the other songs *facepalm* Not gonna change it now, tho, so if it's throwing you off because you're like "hey, the title's right there," you're probably right...
ETA: I'm gonna add an extra line to each lyric left unguessed, and then tomorrow I'll put in the answers to what's left, if no one guesses.
