Hm, well, fair enough - only the writer can know how far the finished product falls short. I agree that it doesn't feel like a Harlequin, but by the end of the first part I'd forgotten that it was supposed to - it was just a really fun adventure fic. The Jon/Spencer development - it was a little lacking in conflict, maybe, but it was really sweet. I didn't think the ending was rushed; it felt as though it happened when it needed to.
