Is No Longer Here

So, a million things. Um, I'm finally getting around to putting my stuff on AO3. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it. I like the convenience of being able to download the fics directly to my kindle, but I sort of hate the kudos deal, and I'm really not eloquent enough to explain why. As a writer, I don't mind having my stuff there to reach a wider audience, but as a reader I'm annoyed when authors don't give me the option of viewing their stuff elsewhere, because...I really don't like reading shit on AO3. On the topic of putting things on my kindle. I need to look more in depth at some of the links that were provided for me, and maybe I'll find the answer. For some reason, although the mobi format allows me to read fics on the kindle, it will not save my place. Even when I bookmark the page I'm on, if I leave and come back, it's back at the beginning and the bookmark is gone. Annoying, because the fics aren't paginated, so I have to search by location. In long fics, this can be quite annoying, argh. Still, love having my favourite fics at my fingertips whenever I want!

Next, is fandom dead, or is it just livejournal? I mean, I get that things are slow because not much is happening in bandom, but some posts I've read have given me the vague impression that things have moved to dreamwidth. Would this be a correct assumption? Should I be doing crossposting? I've avoided that way longer than AO3, but *sigh* what can you do? It seems like BBB at the very least has completely moved that way.

Finally, fics! Oh, man, I have no idea what to write next. I've been playing around with the Mpreg continuation of the Cinderella 'Verse, which was never meant to become so epic, but which is so much fun to play around with! Spencer will be the one carrying, I think, but I haven't got that far in it yet. Also still messing around with the SoulBond fic, which I'm sort of unhappy with, and the Brencallon, which I'm enjoying, but I've entirely forgotten where it was headed and I can't find my notes D: Also considering working on an Inception AU, Dr. Who AU, and Battlestar Galactica AU (all Brencer, obviously, lol). Basically, I want to write ALL the fics, and I have no idea where to start!

Fic: Telling vs. Showing(Spencer/Brendon NC-17)

WC: ~5k

Summary: Part of a much larger fic where Ryan and Spencer go to Whitby so Ryan can soak up the ~atmosphere for his writing, and there they meet vampire!Brendon. This is a porny, plotless, self-indulgent excerpt from that 'verse, where Spencer really wants Brendon to bite him.

AN: I've been sitting on this a long time, and when I was going through putting stuff up on AO3, I got confused wondering why it wasn't already posted. A long time ago someone pretty much tore it to pieces and rewrote at least a 1/3 of it, and made me feel like absolute shit about it. So...I'm just warning you up front that it probably sucks. Thanks so much to pr_scatterbrain who looked over this almost two years ago, and who made me feel better about it and myself.

Also, I, like Spencer, probably do way too much telling rather than showing here.
