Panic, panic...
Oct. 31st, 2008 07:32 pmWhy did no one ever tell me about the ridiculously wonderfully, dorky GSF-y NPR interview with the Panic boys? I mean, granted, it took place several months ago. But when I first got into fandom I hunted down any and every links related to the adorableness of these boys. And somehow, I never got this one. Brendon being adorkable, ending "Nine in the Afternoon" early after making up his own lyrics about the echo-y room! Stupid interviewer! Boys being pissy bitches about being compared to the Beatles! For serious, people!
And then...
Interviewer: Sounds like you guys were not quite as happy back then (when writing the first album) as you are these days.
Ryan: Yeah. We weren't.
Brendon: How could you tell?
Jon: They didn't know me. Jon Walker.
(laughs all around)
Brendon: We hadn't met Jon Walker yet.
Ryan: He lights up our life. You're the light of my life, Jon.
Jon: Thanks bro.
Ugh, Spencer's huge smile at the end, and Ryan and Jon giving each other sly smirks.
I am so full of love. Even if living in Japan means I can only watch shitty versions of Northern Downpour. Because they're still all ridiculously beautiful...
