After the debacle that was the MCR show at House of Blues, I sent the following message to Northern Downpour, just to clarify:

I purchased a Virtues package to House of Blues in Cleveland, OH, and Vices package to LC in Columbus, OH.  However, it has come to my attention that both of these venues have their own system for early entry.  House of Blues allows "Pass the Line" to anyone who purchases 15 dollars worth of merchandise, and everyone in that line is allowed in before anyone else.  The LC has Decibel Club, which allows members early entry ahead of the line.  I wanted to make sure that the early entry for Northern Downpour members will be ahead of these other lines.  It seems really wrong that those of us who have paid for membership to ND and paid extra on our ticket will get in behind these people.

Thank you for your time.

This is the response I got:

Hello,
Northern Downpour members paid more for the merchandise package that was included in the bundle, not for the early entry it self.  We do apologize for any confusion.

Regards,
The Northern Downpour

Maybe it was just me, but the only reason I bought the Vices package was for early entry.  I already got all the merch +Meet and Greet with the Virtues bundle, but early entry was not guaranteed, which is why I bought the Vices.  I emailed back something to that effect, but anyone else going who bought for that reason should email them, too.   Hopefully they'll get the idea that we're not okay with this.

I mailed them back saying that, actually, a lot of people *did* buy the packages only for the early entry (a lot of people on the ND forums were saying they didn't care about the shirt/poster, just EE) and got this response:

"Again we do apologize for any confusion, but what you paid for was for the merchandise that comes with each bundle. EE and M&G were added bonuses. By purchasing a bundle that comes with EE you are guaranteed to enter the the venue early. Fan club members should be going in first, however we are unable to guarantee that you will be entering the venue prior to those who have purchased any sort of cut the line pass from the venue. You will absolutely be getting the EE pass that you “paid” for."

I don't understand how they can say that EE and M&G are "bonuses" when they are listed as part of the bundle that we are paying for--especially when, for a great many people, the EE and M&G are the only reason they bought the packages. I'm so furious, and I don't even know what I can do about it. They just keep telling me that I was confused, and too bad. I told them if they aren't honouring everything that was listed, then it's an issue for the FTC, but while that's true, the FTC doesn't deal with individual claims, it keeps track of multiple claims, then pursues them after there are several for one issue, which doesn't really help here. But seriously, why would I buy the Virtues package, which has all the merch, then buy a Vice package, too, other than to get the EE???
