Okay, normally I wouldn't do this, but I'm so, so glad my best friend told me, so I have to tell you guys, cause it's an awesome deal. There's a site, restaurant.com, which when I heard about it before, I thought it sounded too good to be true. I was sure it was a scam. Basically it sells gift certificates to restaurants in your area, but for really low prices. My bff tried it out just once to be sure it worked, and it did, and since then we've used it several times. Generally we end up paying about 5-10 dollars for 25-50 dollars worth of food. And right now they have a promotion going on that if you enter the word "taste" into the coupon field, you get 80% off your order. I ordered 7 gift certificates for between 25 and 50 each, and it cost me 12 bucks.
There are a few catches. For the most part, I've only been able to find restaurants in major cities, so if you live in a small town, you might have to travel. Also, these aren't major chain restaurants. They're smaller, individually owned places, or local chains. Still, imho, those are usually better quality than the bigger ones. And, there are usually a few requirements--for $25 gift certificate you usually have to spend at least 30 first, and they add on gratuity. So, yeah. Me and Muse eat out a lot just because we often don't have the time and energy to cook, and seriously this is a freaking amazing deal, so I had to share, particularly since the 80% deal is only good for another day or two. Still, they regularly have low prices, and they have 70% sales quite often. So. Yeah. /end sales pitch. And no, I don't get anything for referring customers, lol.
