No one in my real world is really into Panic!, so I figured I'd come over here to see people's reactions to the full album, only there's nothing about it. Such a bummer. I still think of bandom as my main fandom, but it sort of doesn't exist now :/

There's been quite a lot of enthusiastic flailing on tumblr, but if that's not your thing, then yeah.

tumblr mystifies me. I don't even know how to approach it.

my kids are way into it and their online fandomy friends are way into it, too. so that is heartening.

i have the stream of it in a tab and am not sure if i want to listen to it before i get my pre-order.

I'm wishing I hadn't listened to it before hand, so I could still be excited about it when my preorder arrives, rather than bummed out :/

i still appreciate them as people, and i still love reading about them (i, for one, haven't fallen out of bandom), but after the last few songs i haven't really expected to care much for this album.

that said, i haven't actually listened to the damn thing in its entirety yet, so maybe it still has a chance. =P

I'm still trying to decide my feelings on it, personally. I always get nervous when my favourite bands put out new stuff, like, what if I don't like it? What if the bands I love the most, no longer make the music I love, then what? When I heard Miss Jackson and This is Gospel, I was very relieved, because I loved them. Then I heard the rest of the album, and, yeah...There are a couple I liked right away, and most left me feeling "blah." There are two I had an immediate reaction of "dislike, dislike, delete." Girls/Girls/Boys is sort of deeply offensive to me, for one, and I get a little sick even thinking about it. Like how did they think that was okay???

I will come back to you on Tuesday once I have bought the album and listened to it. I feel a bit as if I'm cheating by listening to it online so I don't. Did the same with FOB. Not gonna lie though, I'm worried because almost everyone that has been a longtime fan of them have more or less hated it :/

yeah, let me know, now that Tuesday's here. I'm, uh...not liking it very much. I'd say it's 50/50 with ones I love (Miss Jackson, This is Gospel, Far Too Young to Die) or like ok (Nicotine, Vegas Lights, The End of All Things)...then ones I just hate (Girls/Girls/Boys, Girl That You Love, Collar Full). The rest I just feel "meh" about.

At first I was, wtaf, but after listening through it 3-4 times it's starting to grow on me. I've liked Miss Jackson and This Is Gospel from the start, so no complaints there. I however, like girls/girls/boys and feel as if that song could make it really big on the radio. Idk exactly what it is with it but it just feels so radio to me. Collar Full I really like to, mostly because of the lyrics.

Nicotine is probably my favorite besides TIG, and I enjoy Far Too Young To Die (Spencer!! :( ). Also the bonus track Can't Fight Against The Youth is pretty great. And if I hadn't noticed that Dallon wrote All The Boys I might have liked that one more.

I liked all the 80's influences but at the same time it's just too many effects to really hear his beautiful voice. Too little drums for my taste. But it has grown on me and I'm still loving this band. /end long answer

Gotta add that I don't really like the lyrics of girls/girls/boys. I think he had good intentions but it just doesn't work. Still it's something with it that I still like and I can't get it off my mind.
